An abdominal massage can be described as the ultimate wellness massage! There is also a self care massage component that is truly unique in the tradition that I practice and is something clients can continue doing at home with digital instructions provided after the hands-on learning.
Most people say abdominal treatments are more relaxing than they expect. Clients are draped throughout the massage to protect their modesty and all techniques are performed externally.
Abdominal massage includes the front and back, hips and sacrum, and concludes with neck and shoulder work.

PELVIC STEAMING:
Also called a vaginal steam or yoni steam, this traditional herbal remedy can have many benefits. It’s not just for the vagina, as it is a treatment for the whole pelvic bowl. While warming and softening tissue, increasing circulation, and sloughing off old layers of debris to clear out at menstruation, it is also a lovely time for personal meditation and giving love to your womb space. It may also benefit all genders experiencing pelvic congestion.
Although this service was popularized in the mainstream by actress Gwyneth Paltrow in 2015, it is an ancient practice that has been around for thousands of years in many traditional cultures, in the east and west. There are many ways to do steaming on your own, but I found it cumbersome until I had a specially made wood stool. I now have two stools and offer rentals to my clients for a nominal fee to steam in the comfort and privacy of your own home.
ARVIGO® TECHNIQUES FOR ABDOMINAL THERAPY
I have trained extensively in the Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy, which were developed by Dr. Rosita Arvigo based on her extensive apprenticeship with Maya healer Don Elijio Panti and her own education, training, and research as a naprapathic physician, along with a rich lineage of traditional healers in Belize. Rosita’s lifework, resulted in the the Abdominal Therapy Collective, a set of techniques which restore the body to its natural balance by correcting the position of organs that have shifted and restrict the flow of blood, lymph, hormones, nerve function, and qi (energy).
The pinnacle of my Arvigo® training has been traveling to Belize in 2018 for advanced clinical study with Dr. Rosita Arvigo, and later becoming a teacher of this amazing work. It is an honor to continue the legacy of my mentor, as well as traditional Maya healers, especially Don Elijio Panti, Miss Hortense Robinson and Miss Juana.
