SAFETY THROUGH THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC

A SPACE FOCUSED ON YOUR WELL-BEING, HEALTH AND SAFETY

At Karen Asbury Integrative Bodywork, I appreciate the responsibility LMTs have to provide elective healthcare as safely as possible. That’s why I have taken several important precautions and ask for your cooperation in keeping you, me and our community safe through Covid-19.

I am generally limiting the number of clients I see daily to two – to allow for increased sanitization between clients. I ask that all my clients complete a health screening agreement prior to their appointment; and in the event that a client needs to cancel due to illness or need to quarantine, there is no cancellation fee.

Since reopening in mid-June 2020, I have been doing temperature checks, requiring and wearing masks, using a HEPA air filter and opening a window for ventilation, wearing a fresh apron with every client, changing out all linens including blankets and towels covering the floor and client dressing table, and doing thorough disinfecting of all touch surfaces including the bathroom with an EPA approved disinfectant for every client.

Respiratory etiquette for massage:  I guide my clients when taking deep breaths to inhale and exhale through the nose.  If you need to cough or sneeze, please do so into an elbow, even while wearing a mask, and please arrive clean and free of  fragrances.

I want all my clients to be able to relax when visiting. If you have any questions about my safety policies and procedures,  please let me know.   Virtual appointments are available for Arvigo® self care, and outdoor chair massage will be coming soon!

“Karen was exceptionally careful and intentional with COVID precautions, explaining each thing she was doing for her safety and mine, and checking in with my comfort level. I wore a mask the whole time and had my temperature checked in the driveway. I felt safe and cared for. Karen was specifically addressing back pain after an acute injury. She treated my lower back and helped the muscles relax around the injury. By the end of the day I was moving much better and in less pain. By the next day, I could easily feel the results and I’m walking better.”
